All you need to know about Modern Eye Care's backstage before you shop in store.
−Which insurance do you accept?
Please check the insurance tab. You can also call us to make sure that we accept your particular plan of insurance.
+−How long will my exam take?
To provide you with the highest quality of care, we schedule your doctor's appointment for 90 minutes.
+−I've worn contacts before. Why do I need to be reevaluated each year?
Contact lenses are classified by the FDA as a medical device; consequently, by law, your eye health needs to be evaluated once a year.
+−Would you email me my prescription or receipt?
Due to HIPAA (the Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act), we must provide you the copy securely. You can sign up for our electronic portal here, and we can email it to you securely.
+−Can you put new lenses in my existing frame?
Yes! We are happy to evaluate your existing frame. We will first evaluate it to make sure that it is in good shape to be re-lensed.
+−Will you repair my broken glasses?
Most likely, yes! To find out for sure, call us or stop by the office and we can inspect the glasses. Commonly they are missing a screw or nose pad. Most repairs are done free of charge, but some require more work and may have a small cost.
+−Can you adjust my glasses?
Absolutely! This is a service provided at no charge. Please call our office to schedule an appointment.
+−How long will it take to make my glasses?
On most orders the turnaround time is 7-10 days.
+−Can you put lenses in my current frame in one day?
Unfortunately not. All of our lenses utilize groundbreaking digital-surfacing technology. This goes beyond traditional measurements and incorporates artificial intelligence to accurately model the eyeglass wearer's head and eye movements.
This technology allows precise prediction of how and where eyeglass wearers of different ages gaze through their lenses. This delivers the most exceptional optical experience. If digital surfacing technology is not utilized and the lenses are fabricated in-house, the quality of vision is far inferior, and the lenses cost much less.
+−Do kids need eye exams?
Yes! Dr. Sabahi sees patients 3 years and older. Pediatric exams are quick and painless to make sure that the child has a great experience. We determine if the child needs glasses or has any childhood eye conditions.
+−I have great eyesight. Do I still need an exam once a year?
Yes. There are many disease conditions that go undiagnosed because they do not affect your vision. Annual exams are highly recommended, and they are often covered by your insurance.
+−Do you accept Medicare?
Yes we do! Just as with any other doctor's visit, there will be a co-pay associated with the exam. Call us for more details.
+−What if I don't have vision insurance?
